Many uniform companies are not 100% transparent and rely on tactics that may trap some business in contracts they don’t want to be in. Be prepared if you are interested in finding a new provider. Do you have a copy of your contract? Have you read your contract? Do you know if it has and “evergreen clause” (auto renewal clause)? If you have questions, contact your Ace representative today.

Did you know that many uniform companies are asking their customers to sign new contracts a year before their existing contract is up? This tactic is used to find the customers that are having issues, so they can concentrate on those accounts to make sure the issues are smoothed over to get a new contract signed and then revert to their normal practices. Has your vendor been out asking you to resign a new contract? If you have questions, contact your Ace representative today.

If you are serious about looking into optional uniform providers the best way is to read your contract. If you don’t have a contract the best way is to send in a certified letter with a signed receipt and if they don’t send it to you most will be in breach of their own contract. Do not rely on email or your driver as inefficiency through avoidance is another tractic of some uniform companies. In your contract, look for an "evergreen clause" (auto renewal clause) and make sure you send in a certified letter during the window requirements. Be careful, some uniform companies have a window as small as 30 days. Finally, contact your Ace representative today to go over the difference between locally owned and operated Ace ImageWear compared to your current provider.
