Ace ImageWear nominated for KC Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business of the Year
May 16, 2014
KC Chamber of Commerce’s ‘Small Business of the Year’ award goes to a company that has shown growth or sustainability of their business with strong employee relations and a record of giving back to the community. Ace ImageWear is one of 1,000 nominees and 101 applicants for the 2014 title. It is also in the running for the ‘Legacy of Kansas City’ award, which honors longevity, quality products and services, and community service in a Greater Kansas City-area business.
The Small Business of the Year is determined by a panel of KC Chamber of Commerce judges and the decision is based in large part on responses to an extensive questionnaire on company values and practices, complete with partner and customer references.
Sales Manager Jackson Miller and Human Resources Manager Christine Colvin represented Ace at the Small Business of the Year Celebration, a showcase of Small Business of the Year nominees, held in Union Station March 27. Eighty-five businesses were represented at the event, which was attended by more than 600 people.
CEO Ed Heilman and colleagues will attend the Top 10 Small Business Announcement Reception at Boulevard Brewery this evening to find out if Ace ranks among the top ten and will move on to the site visit portion of the evaluation process.
