Ace ImageWear Kansas City Hit 1,000,000 Gallons of Water Reused
The Kansas City location of Ace ImageWear is excited to announce that we have recently installed a new water reuse system! It’s called the Norchem Ultra-Pure MOM water technology.
What does Norchem's Ultra-Pure MOM do?
MOM stands for metal oxide membrane technology that promotes chemical-free filtration. This filtration system rejects high molecular weight substances such as oil, grease, and other substances to ensure clean clothing. That’s the basic rundown of how the system works; Norchem’s project engineers custom design each system to best serve the needs of each individual plant, so no Ultra-Pure MOM system is exactly the same.
Going green
This system is just one of the many ways that Ace ImageWear is prioritizing sustainability and green practices. With the savings that Ultra-Pure MOM water technology provides, we’re so excited to be playing a role in water conservation. Our investment in this product is truly an investment in your future.
Although this was a significant investment for Ace, which will take about 4 years to begin seeing an ROI, we are seeing immediate green savings as noted below:
- 81% Water/Sewer Reduction = 28,000,000 gallons
- 79% water heating energy gives a savings of almost 40,000 Therms
- 17% wash aisle chemical savings
